Q: How much does it cost?
A: Our current ATM offers are based on Free Placement ATMs meaning there are no upfront costs to lease our ATMs and includes free standard support services.
Q: What are the qualification criteria’s for installing a cash machine in my business?
A: We normally ask that there is an indication of sufficient customer footfall and a minimum level of cash is available to fill the machine. We will also look to see that there is a suitable location on your premises. Hanco offers a free consultation and a site survey will be carried.
Q: How much room will I need for a cash machine?
A: Our cash machines only require a small footprint. Typically, the ATM requires a footprint of around 3 sq ft. Our site survey will help you identify the best location and specific space required as our range of cash machines may vary.
Q: What is Self Fill?
A: Also known as Merchant Fill, Self Fill means you fill the cash machine from your own takings and remove the cash cassette into an overnight safe when out of hours. The advantages include the reprocessing of cash from the cash machine to your till and then ultimately back into the cash machine again. Funds withdrawn from the cash machine will also be credited into your account, so you save time and reduce the cost of cash processing fees.
Q: What’s the difference between Free to Use and Surcharge?
A: Free to Use enables your customers to use the ATM with no charge for taking out cash using their bank issued cards. This is good news for the local community, who has a practical free service to hand, and it is good news for you, as customer footfall increases.
Surcharge means that your customers will pay a convenience fee for the cash withdrawal service. This option enables you to receive additional income directly from transactions. The exact amount you will receive per successful cash withdrawal transaction will be agreed with YourCash.
Q: Are there any additional requirements to operate the cash machine?
A: A dedicated electrical socket is required to power the cash machine. In addition, a dedicated BT phone line for processing transactions may be required.
Q: What about overnight security of the cash machine?
A: When you fill the ATM yourself, we request that the cash cassette is removed and the safe door kept open during out of hours. It should be clearly visible that the ATM has no cash left in it for security reasons.
Q: How secure is the ATM?
A: Our ATMs and service meets strict scheme security and compliance standards, which ensure transactions and funds are securely processed.
The ATMs are securely bolted into the floor and the ATM safe is certified as UL291 Business Hours or Level 1 safe depending on the cash machine service we provide to our customers.
Q: What if a card user has a problem with the cash machine?
A: In the unlikely event that a card user on the ATM has any transaction queries, they would need to contact their card issuing bank. The YourCash Customer Services team will be at hand to help answer further queries.
Q: How can I encourage consistent and increased transactions?
A: You need to ensure sufficient cash is filled into the cash machine during opening hours to provide your customers with a convenient and dependable service so they’ll come back again and again. Keeping the cash machine clean, ensuring good access and promoting the service through our point of sale signage could help increase usage to drive footfall and spend.
Q: Will I get training to operate the cash machine?
A: Yes. When we install the ATM you will be provided with training to help you operate the cash machine daily. You’ll also receive a quick starter step-by-step guide for managing the machine.
Q: What if there's a problem with the cash machine?
A: The Customer Services team is available to guide you through simple fault fixes over the telephone. If an engineer is needed, our extensive engineering network ensures we are always close by to bring your cash machine back into service.
